The Pfizer Bivalent vaccine is available at Fairview Range for individuals 6 months of age and older.
Effective May 2, 2023, Fairview Range currently offers the single-dose bivalent Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) mRNA vaccines as a primary vaccine for individuals 6 months and older. This newly authorized single-dose version replaces the multi-dose monovalent mRNA vaccine series that were previously available.
Unvaccinated children between 6 months and 5 years of age will need three doses of the newly authorized bivalent vaccine, with each dose separated by several weeks. Unvaccinated children between 5 and 17 years of age only need one dose of the bivalent vaccine.
Bivalent boosters are also available for those who have already completed their primary series of vaccines and are now due for a booster shot. At least two months must have passed since the last dose of your primary series vaccine before you can receive a booster. Learn more about the different vaccines and how they work.
