Use MyChart Like a Pro
Here are some of our tips and tricks on how to take advantage of the many features of MyChart.
Appointment Scheduling: In some cases, there is no need to call to schedule an appointment. Instead, you can schedule your appointment anytime from your mobile device. Some key things to remember:
- MyChart appointment scheduling is best used to schedule annual wellness visits, preoperative physical exams, and non-urgent follow-ups.
- Online scheduling is available only for appointments with your primary care provider.
- If you are looking for an urgent same-day, next-day, or same-week appointment, please call our scheduling line at 218-362-6937 to see if we have any last-minute openings. Just because there are no appointment slots available in MyChart does not mean you cannot see your provider. By calling to schedule, we can likely fit you in for urgent needs.
- MyChart should not be used for any emergency needs.
Additional Features: MyChart offers more than just appointment scheduling and messaging. To give you better access and control over your care, MyChart includes user-friendly portals to manage your family’s wellness with the following features:
- Through MyChart, you can pay bills or view billing summaries.
- Update prescription information with a click of a button, including preferred pharmacies.
- Updating demographic and insurance information has never been simpler with MyChart.
- Save time by completing pre-visit forms and questionnaires. This ability to complete pre-visit forms and questionnaires through MyChart not only saves time but also improves accuracy, enhances convenience, empowers patients, streamlines workflow, and contributes to safety measures, making it a valuable feature for both patients and healthcare providers at Fairview Range.
- You can even view recent and past test results.
Messaging: Have a simple, non-urgent medical question? Ask your questions in MyChart, and your care team will reply. Some key things to remember:
- The messaging is simple medical questions. In the event of an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
- Your messages will go to a care team (not your primary care provider directly), who will answer your question or transfer it to someone who can.
- Do not expect a quick response. Please allow up to two business days before receiving a response.
- If you have a complex medical concern, please call and ask to speak to a triage nurse or make an appointment to allow ample time to review your concerns.
